Tax Extension Deadline 2024 October 1. The extension of the tax audit report deadline to 07 october 2024, does not automatically extend the itr filing deadline. Remember that an extension only applies to the time to file the return, whereas the tax due must still be timely paid before expiration of the original filing deadline, usually april 15.
